Position Summary:
North Toronto Soccer’s Competitive Program consists of teams U13-U21 who participate
in regional & local leagues during the indoor and outdoor seasons. This program is part of
Canada Soccer’s Soccer for Life stream and is separate from the Club’s Talented Pathway
Program; OPDL & Ontario Premier League. Teams train two or three times per week and
play a weekly game.
Head Coaches are responsible for leading all aspects of team operations including:
● Planning & delivering training sessions
● Coaching games
● Facilitating tryouts
● Providing player feedback
● Maintaining good communication with players and families
● Regular communication with the Manager, Competitive Program
Experience & Training:
● Experience working with youth players between the ages of 12-19
● Soccer for Life Community Workshop (S4L)*
● C Licence - preferred
● Respect in Sport (RIS)*
● Making Ethical Decisions (MED)*
● Making Headway*
● NCCP Emergency Action Planning*
*The certifications above are mandatory requirements to coach Competitive Soccer in
Ontario. However, these courses are easily accessible and many can be completed online.
The Club will provide some assistance to coaches requiring these certifications.
