Weekend Training Ground Security Operative

Job Description

The role holder will provide dedicated weekend security cover at the Training Ground, safeguard the site, personnel, players and property in line with Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations, including lone working procedures, and to support the smooth running of weekend training sessions and fixtures.

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

To provide dedicated weekend security cover at the Training Ground, safeguarding the site, personnel, players and property in line with Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations, including lone working procedures, and to support the smooth running of weekend training sessions and fixtures.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a visible, professional security presence at the Training Ground throughout weekend operational hours.
• Open up and/or lock down the site at the start and end of the weekend shift, following agreed security procedures.
• Monitor and control access to the site for players, staff, visiting teams, contractors and visitors, maintaining accurate sign-in/sign-out records.
• Monitor CCTV, Ring Doorbell and associated security systems via the iPad-based remote monitoring system, reporting any faults or concerns promptly.
• Patrol the site perimeter and buildings at appropriate intervals, checking for security or safety issues.
• Support weekend academy training sessions and fixtures, including car park management and access for visiting clubs, match officials and parents/spectators where applicable.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies, following established escalation and reporting procedures, including lone-working check-in protocols.
• Liaise with Dean Maher on all security matters, rota queries and incident reporting.
• Report any facilities, maintenance or Health & Safety issues identified during weekend cover to the appropriate contact.
• Complete accurate handover notes/logs for the Monday morning Facilities & Security Operative team.
• Ensure compliance with all Club policies, including Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Safeguarding and Data Protection (CCTV/GDPR).
