MLS Academy Equipment Coordinator (Full-Time)

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is seeking an organized, dependable, and passionate MLS Academy Equipment Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day coordination of equipment operations for the Club. This role is responsible for ensuring players, coaches, and staff have the equipment, apparel, and resources they need to perform at their best throughout training, match days, and team travel.

Working closely with the Equipment Manager and soccer operations staff, the Equipment Coordinator will help maintain the highest professional standards across all equipment operations, inventory management, locker room preparation, and team logistics. What You'll Do
Training Operations

• Coordinate the daily preparation and organization of player lockers with all required training equipment and apparel.
• Ensure all training equipment is prepared and delivered to the field prior to each session.
• Collect, organize, inspect, and inventory all training equipment following each training session.
• Coordinate the laundering and preparation of all training apparel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional equipment room, locker room, laundry area, and shared team spaces.
• Ensure equipment is maintained, repaired, and replaced as needed.

Match Day Operations

• Prepare the team dressing room prior to all home matches.
• Coordinate equipment requests from match officials and support visiting team equipment needs.
• Prepare, transport, and set up all field equipment before warm-ups.
• Oversee the organization of the team bench, locker room, towels, hydration stations, equipment, and the fourth official's table.
• Coordinate the laundering and preparation of all match and warm-up apparel following each game.
• Ensure player boots and equipment are returned to the training facility following home and away matches.

Team Travel

• Support team travel logistics for preseason, regular season, playoff, and postseason matches as required.
• Coordinate the packing, transportation, and tracking of team equipment and travel bags.
• Assist with airport pick-up and drop-off of equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is prepared, accounted for, and ready for team activities while traveling.

Equipment & Apparel Management

• Coordinate inventory management for equipment and apparel across multiple teams.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with forecasting equipment needs.
• Coordinate warehouse organization to ensure efficient storage and accessibility.
• Manage the ordering and stocking of toiletries, laundry supplies, locker room essentials, and other equipment-related supplies.
• Assist with equipment distribution and seasonal apparel allocation.

What You Bring

Qualifications

• Experience working in professional, collegiate, or high-performance sports is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of soccer and an understanding of team operations.
• Experience coordinating equipment, inventory, or logistics is considered an asset.
• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license with the ability to travel, as required.
