Job Purpose

  • Lead and manage the Club's Kit & Equipment department across all football programmes
  • To be responsible for the management of the day-to-day organisation of the department showing proactiveness and leadership
  • To work closely with the Operations Director and Director of Performance & Operations – Women’s to ensure close interaction between operational departments
  • To set and ensure the highest standards of kit and equipment delivery for the Training Centre, Stadium and away fixtures
  • To lead and be the point of contact for all kit and equipment requirements at the Training Centre and Stadium
  • To lead and represent the Training centre Operations team on all commercial and sponsorship activities for the Kit and equipment team ensuring best value and the highest quality
  • To be the point of contact between all Club departments, contractors and suppliers and the rest of the Training Department for anything related to Training Centre kit and equipment requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • To be responsible and manage all kit and equipment associated projects that are set at the Training Centre
  • To be responsible for recording all kit and equipment allocation, providing monthly and year end reports and stock levels, player kit allocation, kit requests, swap shirt records
  • To liaise with First Team Head Coach, THFC Women’s Head Coach and the Academy Head Coaches and their staff with reference to kit and equipment requirements
  • Co-ordinate effective maintenance programs through close interaction with Senior Team
  • Lead on all kit and equipment recruitment and the interview process when recruiting new staff
  • Co-coordinating and overseeing contractors relating to kit and equipment at the Training Centre
  • To manage the overall kit and equipment budget ensuring costs are maintained within the agreed budget
  • Keep up to date with industry developments/innovations
  • To lead on all kit and equipment requirements for Tours Venues
  • To constant review suppliers and workstream to improved cost efficiency
  • To be responsible for kit compliance across all teams, in line with PL and UEFA frameworks
  • Liaising with the Operations Director and Director of Performance & Operations – Womens to set and maintain high standards of work performance and deliver quality consistently, befitting of the high-profile venue, level of sport and national and international media exposure
  • To be responsible and promote an exceptional health and safety culture at the Training Centre and Stadium, ensuring that safe systems of work, risk assessments and standard operating procedures are adhered to and in line with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club’s policies, legislation, compliance, training and industry best practice
  • To be responsible for all Kit and equipment at the Training Centre and Stadium ensuring they are prepared to the highest possible standard for training and match days
  • To set the department and senior team objectives, providing a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach
  • Demonstrate the utmost discretion when dealing with all sensitive and confidential information
  • To be responsible and manage the overall kit and equipment budget including OPEX and CAPEX
  • To manage the department’s long term aims and ambitions projecting capital expenditure and future site improvements ensuring the Club remains as a leading organisation within the kit and equipment sector
  • To oversee the department’s annual appraisal process

Person Specification

Specific Experience

  • Previous experience in leading operational teams
  • Analytical experience
  • Experience managing kit and equipment operations within elite professional sport
  • Strong operational planning and organisational skills
  • Budget management experience
  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight and international travel
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Understanding of Premier League, FA and UEFA competition regulations
