Job Overview
Blackfriars F.C. are looking for a committed and enthusiastic U9s Team Manager to lead and support our Under 9s squad as we prepare for the upcoming season. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building a team culture, supporting player development, and helping young footballers enjoy the game in a positive environment.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to work closely with UEFA A and UEFA B Licensed Coaches, gaining valuable insight, mentorship and professional development.
The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and passionate about grassroots football.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the organisation of the U9s team, including weekly attendance and communication.
- Support coaches in delivering fun, age-appropriate training sessions.
- Coordinate matchday logistics, including team selections, equipment, and player availability.
- Liaise with parents regarding fixtures, session updates, and club expectations.
- Promote positive behaviour, respect, and teamwork in line with club values and FA Respect guidelines.
- Ensure players are supported emotionally and socially, helping them build confidence and enjoyment.
- Maintain a professional, welcoming environment for both players and parents.

- Willingness to follow safeguarding procedures and club policies.
Desirable
- Experience working with children in sport, education, or coaching.
- FA coaching qualifications (Level 1 / Introduction to Coaching Football).
- First Aid and Safeguarding certificates.
Safeguarding Requirement
All successful applicants will be required to complete a DBS check and relevant safeguarding training in line with FA guidelines.
