MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To work closely with the Population Health Senior Project officer to develop, deliver and lead adapted sports programmes, in line with the requirements set out by the funding providers. Activities may include walking football, tennis, cricket, rugby, netball or boccia. • Deliver a range of adapted sports and lifestyle changing activities within the Community and across NHS partnerships, including provision during evening and weekends. • Deliver and coordinate pathways for special population programmes and support the Health and Wellbeing team with referrals. • Ensure success stories are captured, working with Chelsea FC Foundation/Chelsea FC media staff. • Prepare delivery programmes and sessions plans that support the project outcomes. Ensuring participation forms, recording sheets and registers are completed accurately and entered in CFCF's monitoring and evaluation systems. • Support the line management of adapted sports programme staff. • Work with the Health and Wellbeing team to build external relationships to sustain future programme funding. • Ensure all CFCF health & safety and safeguarding procedures are implemented prior to any activity starting, including quality assuring sessional staff delivery.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:
• To be a positive role model, creating a safe, positive, and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage the community to live a healthy and active lifestyle. • Build relationships with partner charities, CCO's, NGB's and local authorities for the benefit of the Adapted Sports programme.
• To lead on the monitoring and evaluation for all Adapted Sports projects in accordance with the needs of each funder, including liaison with the Premier League Charitable Fund as a 'Salesforce' user. • Be responsible for the safeguarding of participants across all Adapted Sports programmes, liaising and reporting into the Safeguarding Lead for Health and Wellbeing and associated partner Safeguarding Team's to ensure a clear line of reporting to CFC Safeguarding Hub. • Ensure success stories are captured through working with Chelsea FC Foundation/Chelsea FC media staff. • Complete and submit project reports at 6-month intervals, or as and when required internally or in accordance with the needs of each funder.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
Essential
• Relevant professional and/or academic qualifications or a minimum of 2 years' experience in the industry sector. • Level 1 Sports Coaching Qualification, Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates. • Ability to travel to activity & meetings across London, Surrey and surrounding areas / Clean Driving License
Desirable
• Minimum Level 2 REPs recognised health and fitness qualification/special populations or equivalent. • Level 2 Sports Coaching Qualification, Mental Health First Aid, Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates. • Health Promotion/Public Health/Health and Social Care or equivalent qualifications.
Experience:
Essential
• A strong knowledge of and experience in working in a Charity, and/or Sports & Health industry. • Have a good understanding of Sports, Health and Older Adult services and charities be able to signpost participants accordingly and build partnerships. • Experience delivering Adapted Sports, specifically Walking Football across a range of ages and health conditions. • Experience in working with sporting governing bodies and knowledge player pathway for target demographic. • Experience in line management of sessional staff members.
Desirable
• Knowledge of the Chelsea FC Foundation. • Knowledge of local demographic and social needs. • Knowledge of funded sports and football projects. • Knowledge of Community Club Organisations and Football Charity Programmes.
