About Us

Strike Academy is dedicated to introducing children to football in a fun, safe, and engaging way. We believe in developing not just physical skills, but also confidence, teamwork, and a love of sport from an early age.

Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Lead Youth Football Coach to deliver weekly football sessions for children aged 1.5 to 5 years old. The successful candidate will plan and run sessions tailored to young children, ensuring each session is safe, structured, and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and lead age-appropriate football sessions.
• Set up and pack down all equipment each week.
• Create a positive, supportive, and fun environment for players and parents.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during sessions.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and Strike Academy staff.
• Be punctual, reliable, and committed to weekly Saturday morning sessions.

Requirements

• Experience working with young children (ideally in sports, coaching, or childcare).
• Confident, energetic, and engaging personality.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to plan creative, age-appropriate activities.
• Commitment to weekly Saturday or Sunday mornings 8:30-11:00
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
• First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential).
• Relevant coaching qualifications (preferred but not essential — training can be provided).
