Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Lead Youth Football Coach to deliver weekly football sessions for children aged 1.5 to 5 years old. The successful candidate will plan and run sessions tailored to young children, ensuring each session is safe, structured, and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and lead age-appropriate football sessions.
- Set up and pack down all equipment each week.
- Create a positive, supportive, and fun environment for players and parents.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during sessions.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and Strike Academy staff.
- Be punctual, reliable, and committed to weekly Saturday morning sessions.
Requirements
- Experience working with young children (ideally in sports, coaching, or childcare).
- Confident, energetic, and engaging personality.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to plan creative, age-appropriate activities.
- Commitment to weekly Saturday or Sunday mornings 8:30-11:00
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Relevant coaching qualifications (preferred but not essential — training can be provided).
