YOUR NEW JOB…
We are looking for an Assistant Warehouse & Production Operations Manager to support the delivery of SPORTFIVE’s production and branding services across football events and venues in the UK.
This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys football and wants to be part of what goes on behind the scenes. You’ll play a key role in preparing and delivering branding and signage, with regular opportunities to be on-site at stadiums supporting installs and matchday activity.
Based at our brand-new warehouse operation in Haydock and reporting into the Production Services Manager, you will support both warehouse operations and on-site delivery. From preparing assets and managing logistics through to assisting with installs and de-rigs, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of event delivery.
You will work closely with the Production Manager to coordinate matchday and event activity, while also engaging with clients on site to support surveys, ideas and delivery against budget.
This is a Monday–Sunday role and includes regular weekend and matchday working in line with fixture schedules, including travel to venues. The role will also require overnight stays, in particular for our FA Cup, WSL, and Premier League installs, supporting both scheduled fixtures and ad-hoc activity.
AS OUR ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE & PRODUCTION OPERATIONS MANAGER, YOU WILL FOCUS ON THESE CORE AREAS...
Warehouse & Asset Management
Support the day-to-day running of the warehouse, including general warehouse duties
Assist with stock control, asset tracking, storage and movement of production and branding assets
Prepare equipment and signage for delivery and installation
Support the upkeep and organisation of the warehouse
Assist with vehicle loading, logistics and moving equipment
Support work on LED structures and associated equipment
Production & Event Delivery
Assist the Production Manager in coordinating the delivery, installation and removal of branding for stadium and live sporting events
Support matchday and event operations, acting as a key on-site contact where required
Lay graphics and signage to a high standard
Work with clients on site surveys and contribute to signage ideas and solutions for events
Ensure all work is delivered efficiently and to agreed timelines
Planning, Scheduling & Reporting
Support the management of staffing, scheduling and day-to-day operational planning
Assist with coordinating resources across multiple events and projects such as;
Premier League
FA Competitions
Women’s Football
Rugby League and other ad-hoc events
Follow up on site activity with reports and support costing work to align with client budgets
Work closely with the Production Manager and wider teams to ensure smooth delivery across all projects
Health & Safety & Compliance
Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards and stadium policies
Follow RAMS and operational procedures across warehouse and on-site environments
Promote safe working practices at all times
THE EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING…
Experience in a warehouse, production or operations role, ideally within sport, events or the sign industry
Hands-on experience with signage, including laying graphics (desirable)
Experience supporting event delivery, installations or live environments
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage day-to-day operations and scheduling
Confident communicator with the ability to work with clients and internal teams
Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to get stuck in
Comfortable with the physical aspects of the role, including manual handling and regular lifting of equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
Understanding of health & safety in operational environments
FLT license and driving experience is desirable but not essential
Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and matchdays
