Fulham FC Foundation are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed person to take up the casual position of DisAbility Football & Sports Coach.
Reporting directly to our Senior DisAbility Development Manager, the DisAbility Football & Sports Coaches are responsible for delivering high-quality football & sports coaching to children, young people and adults with disabilities and additional needs. This role involves delivery across a wide-range of our DisAbility Programmes, including Pan DisAbility Clubs, Active Autism, Down’s Syndrome ‘Badgers’, Blind and Partially Sighted, Cerebral Palsy and Dwarfism Football Sessions. In addition there will be opportunities to work in our DisAbility Schools programme delivering PE, Enrichment Activities and After School Clubs.
While the primary focus of this role is on DisAbility Football & Sport, there may be opportunities to contribute to other FFC Foundation activities such as Skills Club, Development Centres, Soccer Schools, Primary Education, Kicks, and Health & Wellbeing. We would encourage candidates to prioritise DisAbility Programmes where possible, while remaining flexible to support other areas as needed.
This is a casual role where flexibility is essential, as the role necessitates involvement in supporting the delivery of programme activities as and when required.
The successful candidate will be somebody who has prior experience delivering football & sports coaching sessions to children & young people with disabilities or additional needs in grassroots & school settings, holds at least a FA Level 1/Introduction to Coaching Football qualification and is committed to the charitable purpose of Fulham FC Foundation.
As this role is casual, there is no set timetable. Sessions may be offered on an adhoc or regular basis, depending on the needs of Fulham FC Foundation. It is the responsibility of the DisAbility Football & Sports Coaches to maintain consistent and effective communication with our Senior DisAbility Development Manager and Operations Officers to ensure the continuation of work.
Whilst there is no obligation for Fulham FC Foundation to provide, or for the DisAbility Football & Sports Coaches to accept, work. DisAbility Football & Sports Coaches who do not work for an extended period of time, will be deactivated.
The successful candidates should be available to work across at least one of the below times, in order to receive work. We are extremely keen to hear from those who are able to work on Saturday mornings.
Weekdays – 9am to 5 pm;
Weekday Evenings – 5pm to 9pm
Weekends – Saturdays – 8am to 12noon.
Work in other timings is available, however on a far reduced frequency.
Salary Range: £12.95 p/h to £16.50 p/h

Essential:
Experience:
- Delivery of football coaching sessions in a grassroots environment
- Delivery of sports coaching sessions to children, young people or adults with disabilities and additional needs.
- Delivery within a school/college setting.
- Working in a customer-facing role.
Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Introduction to Coaching Football qualification
- In-date FA Emergency First Aid
- In-date FA Safeguarding Children certificate
- Base knowledge of and willingness to learn & contribute towards FFCF strategic aims.
Personal Qualities:
- A positive role-model for children & young people.
- Ability to travel independently across South-West London, including transport of equipment.
- Well presented, with a professional manner.
- Positive, energetic persona. Able to build rapport with participants.
- Excellent time-keeping & punctuality.
- Willingness to learn & develop personally & professionally.
Preferred:
Experience:
- Delivery of football & sports coaching sessions in a Club Community Organisation (CCO).
- Delivery of Physical Education within a school setting.
- Delivery within a classroom environment.
- Marketing & Promoting participation activities in the community.
- Delivery of football & sports coaching sessions to females.
Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- FA Level 2/UEFA C in Coaching Football qualification (or higher).
- Additional PE/HLTA qualification
- Mentoring qualification
- Non-football NGB sports qualifications.
Job responsibilities
- To act as an Ambassador for Fulham FC Foundation (FFCF), representing the organisation professionally in line with its values.
- To plan and deliver high-quality football and sports coaching sessions to children, young people & adults in-line with FFCF standards.
- To provide a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment at all times,
- To adhere to FFCF’s safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the timely reporting of any safeguarding concerns or incidents within sessions.
- To engage, include, inspire and grow participation across FFCF activities.
- To support the transition of participants between different FFCF programmes and activities.
- To champion opportunities for individuals from underrepresented groups within FFCF activities.
- To identify and support progression pathways for talented young people.
- To support the development of FFCF programmes through positive collaboration with Department Managers / Operations Officers.
- To support the promotion of FFCF programmes across the local community.
- To assist in data collection and completion of monitoring & evaluation on an ongoing basis.
