Glen Shields Juventus (GSJ) is a competitive youth male and female academy operating within a
structured technical framework focused on long-term player development. As part of Glen
Shields Soccer Club and aligned with Juventus Academy methodology, we prioritize disciplined
coaching, professional standards, and consistent development processes across all age groups.

Our player pathway includes:
• Pre-Academy (U4–U9)
• Junior J League
• Competitive Academy Teams (U8–U21)
• Post-Secondary & Professional

Position Overview

GSJ is seeking one to two qualified Academy Coaches to support our growing competitive
program. Successful candidates will work within a defined technical structure and be
responsible for delivering high-quality, development-focused sessions while maintaining
professional standards on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver structured training sessions aligned with GSJ methodology
• Lead teams in league matches, festivals, and tournaments
• Apply long-term player development principles consistently
• Provide structured player feedback and evaluations
• Maintain professional communication with families and technical leadership
• Submit session plans and required documentation as per club policy
• Support recruitment and player identification initiatives
• Adhere to Safe Sport, governance, and club policy standards

Required Qualifications
• Ontario Soccer C License (minimum)
• Ontario Soccer registration in good standing
• Respect in Sport certification
• Valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Emergency First Aid & CPR-C
• Availability evenings and weekends
• Available for tournaments and showcases locally and internationally

Preferred Experience
• Competitive academy coaching experience
• Experience within IMODEL, OPDL, or comparable standards
• Familiarity with game-based development models 

Reporting Structure
Academy Coaches report to the Technical Director and operate within a structured technical and
administrative framework.
