Staff Coach Supervisor
North Durham United is seeking an experienced soccer coach to manage our staƯ coach
team in Port Perry, Ontario this summer.


Hours of Work
This position is full-time (30 hours per week). The core schedule will be Monday- Thursday
with mandatory attendance at our recreational programming at Scugog Soccer Fields.
Additional mandatory attendance is required at our Recreational Festivals (June 6thUxbridge/ Aug 15- Port Perry). 


Roles & Responsibilities
 Program Design- to design age appropriate ball mastery sessions for all age groups
from U4- U12.
 Program Implementation- to train staƯ coaches in the key factors of each session
and to ensure the volunteer recreational coaches are also integrated into the
training
 StaƯ Coach Training- to deliver training sessions as necessary to staƯ coaches on
their roles & responsibilities.
 Volunteer Coach Training & Support- to deliver a short pre-season training session
for volunteer coaches based around safe sport, appropriate warm ups, game
formats and positive coaching
 StaƯ Management- to schedule staƯ appropriately and to monitor performance and
give feedback, both formal and informal.
 Reporting- provide a weekly verbal report to the club General Manager regarding the
key elements for program delivery. Immediate communication of any serious
program issues.


Qualifications & Position Details
 Candidate must be between the ages of 18- 30 (due to the parameters of the
Canada Summer Jobs program).
 Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years coaching experience
 Candidate must have or be prepared to complete prior to commencement of
employment- Canada Soccer Learn To Train course, NCCP Keeping Girls in Sport,
Making Headway in Soccer, Making Ethical Decisions, Respect in Sport for Sport
Leaders, The Rule of Two and Emergency Action Plan courses.
 Successful candidate will be given access to our club coaching partner app- My
Personal Football Coach, and will be required to complete the 1v1 and Ball Mastery
Level 1 & Level 2 courses.
 Successful candidate will be required to be First Aid and CPR certified.
 Successful candidate will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Check,
to possess a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
