Temporary Groundsperson
- Contract: 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Covering Extended Leave)
- Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time considered (Flexible working options available)
- Location: Predominantly Training Ground, with occasional Stadium Pitch duties
About the Role
Bradford City AFC is seeking a practical and reliable Groundsperson to join our grounds team on a temporary 3-month fixed-term contract to cover an extended period of leave for an existing team member.
You will work predominantly on the club’s training ground pitches, carrying out daily maintenance and pitch preparation to keep playing surfaces in top condition. You will also assist with duties at the stadium pitch as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and maintaining training ground pitches to high standards (mowing, marking, divot repair, aeration, and general turf care).
- Assisting with matchday pitch preparation across both the training ground and the main stadium.
- Operating grounds machinery safely and efficiently.
- Supporting general site upkeep and working alongside the existing grounds team.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in sports turf or grounds maintenance is essential.
- Self-motivated with good attention to detail.
- A flexible approach to working hours with full-time and part-time working patterns considered to suit the right candidate.
