Sports Coach (Early Years)

Job Description

Full job description

Junior & Lead Football Coaches – Part-Time

Location: Venues across North and Northwest London

Energy, enthusiasm and personality first. We can teach you the coaching.

Little Kickers is recruiting warm, engaging and reliable people to deliver fun football sessions for children aged 18 months–8 years.

You could come from dance, fitness, teaching, childcare, drama, sport or something completely different. You might be a sixth-former, university student, parent returning to work or someone looking for a rewarding part-time role. You don’t need a football background or previous coaching experience to apply.

What sets you apart is your willingness to join in, be playful and connect with young children. Can you turn an activity into an adventure, encourage a nervous child and bring enough enthusiasm to get everyone involved? You’ll also need basic football skills and an understanding of the game to demonstrate activities and help children develop. You don’t need to be an expert player—the key is combining that football foundation with the energy, patience and personality to make learning fun.

Our sessions build confidence, coordination and friendships through imaginative games—with a little football along the way.

What we offer

  • Full training and ongoing support
  • A clear pathway from Junior Coach to Lead Coach
  • Weekend and after-school shifts
  • Practical experience working with children
  • Opportunities to take responsibility and lead sessions

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring energy, patience and a friendly personality, along with the confidence to engage a group. You’ll actively take part in sessions, build positive relationships with children and parents, and help every child feel welcome and included.

Experience and relevant qualifications are welcome, but enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn are essential. You must be dependable and comfortable travelling to different venues.

Roles are available across North London and beyond. A driving licence and access to a car are advantageous.

Successful applicants must have the right to work in the UK and complete the required safeguarding and recruitment checks.

Pay: £9.00-£20.00 per hour
