Set high standards. Build confidence. Keep the joy in football.

Tir Conaill Football Club is recruiting passionate, reliable coaches to help develop our teams for children aged 6–12.

We’re a growing community club inspired by the strong connections between Scotland and Donegal. We have big ambitions, but our purpose starts with the children: giving them opportunities to play, develop friendships and grow in a safe, positive environment.

  • Planning and delivering engaging sessions suited to players’ ages and abilities.

  • Developing ball skills, decision-making, teamwork and understanding of the game.

  • Using small-sided games and activities that keep children involved and learning.

  • Giving clear, constructive feedback that builds confidence and encourages players to try.

  • Promoting respect, sportsmanship and a positive team spirit.

  • Building good relationships with parents, carers and fellow coaches.

  • Maintaining high standards of safety, organisation and professionalism.

Essential requirements

  • Minimum SFA Level 1.2 coaching qualification.

  • Valid PVG scheme membership for working with children.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • First Aid Qualification Desirable
  • A positive, patient and enthusiastic approach to developing young players.

  • Reliability, strong communication skills and a commitment to a safe, inclusive coaching environment.

Experience coaching children or youth football is desirable, alongside first aid training. We value coaches who recognise effort, give every child attention and understand that development takes time.
