About the Role
The Seasonal Youth League Programs Coordinator helps deliver the highest quality COPA experience to everyone who takes part in the COPA Soccer Training Center Winter Youth League. With close to 400 teams last season and more than 400 projected this year, game days move fast, and this person keeps them running on time.
This is a seasonal role. It fits someone who loves being around soccer, is comfortable talking with players, parents, coaches, and referees, and wants experience in the sports or fitness industry.
What You’ll Do
•Youth League program management: Run day-to-day league operations, support schedule creation, communicate with team managers, manage referee coverage, and communicate reschedules through to completion.
•Game day operations: Be the point person or manager on duty for Youth League game days.
•Schedule integrity: Keep every game day on schedule. With 400+ teams, even a small delay affects the rest of the day and has to be corrected right away.
•Participant and spectator communication: Make sure players, parents, and spectators understand how game days flow so they can help keep the schedule on track.
•Referee check-in and rule consistency: Check in referees, make sure each has the league’s rules, and watch for inconsistent rule application. Our referees range from first-year to 20-year veterans, and rule interpretations vary. Parents and coaches will have opinions, so consistency is essential. Report inconsistencies promptly to the Director of Leagues and Camps, the Programs Manager, and the Referee Assignor.
•Injuries and incidents: Report all injuries and incidents to the Programs Manager right away.
•Staff support (as needed): Help the Programs Manager with part-time staff scheduling, onboarding, and daily activities.
•Other duties: Support other COPA Play needs as directed by management.
What We’re Looking For
•Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure
•Comfortable communicating with people of all ages in a busy environment
•Available on the weekend, including Fridays, for the full season (Late November to late February)
•Interest in a career in sports or fitness
Nice to Have (Not Required)
•Futsal referee certification, experience, or training. This is completely optional and does not affect hiring decisions. It’s a plus because this is a futsal league, and the coordinator may occasionally need to step in as a referee in an emergency.
Why Join COPA
•Work in a fast-paced, community-focused youth soccer program
•Hands-on experience in league operations, scheduling, and event management
•Strong performers may be considered for future opportunities at COPA
Compensation
