SoccerstarsUK are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and reliable football coaches to join our team and deliver high-quality coaching sessions to children across Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire.

A key requirement for this role is being based in or close to the areas where we deliver our sessions.

We are particularly looking for coaches in or around:

• Derby
• Mickleover
• Burton upon Trent
• Etwall
• Long Eaton
• Stapleford

Many of our coaching sessions are around one hour long and take place at local schools and venues. For this reason, this position is best suited to coaches who live within a reasonable travelling distance of these areas.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own car.

What Could Your Week Look Like?

We have a variety of coaching opportunities available throughout the week, including:

• Lunchtime football clubs at local primary schools
• After School Clubs Monday–Friday
• PE lessons and school-time coaching
• Evening football and player development sessions
• Saturday and Sunday football sessions
• School Holiday Football Courses

There may be opportunities to deliver both a lunchtime club and an after-school club on the same day, alongside weekend, evening and holiday coaching for those looking to build up additional hours.

Hours will vary depending on your location, availability, coaching experience and the sessions available, with approximately 3–12 hours per week available.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for coaches who:

• Have previous experience coaching football or sport
• Are enthusiastic, energetic and confident when leading groups
• Are reliable, punctual and professional
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, schools and other coaches
• Are passionate about football and helping young players develop
• Live within a reasonable travelling distance of our coaching areas
• Can reliably travel between local schools and coaching venues

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

• An Enhanced DBS Certificate
• Previous football or sports coaching experience
• A full UK driving licence
• Access to their own car
• The ability to regularly travel to sessions in our key coaching areas
• A good understanding of working safely and appropriately with children

Coaching Qualifications

Applicants should ideally hold, or be working towards:

• England Football EE Playmaker
• Introduction to Coaching Football or another NGB equivalent
• Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) or equivalent
• Introduction to Safeguarding or equivalent

Further training and coach development opportunities are available for successful applicants.
