Star Soccer Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and child-centred Foundation Phase Coach to work alongside our Lead Coach within one of our Foundation Phase teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a UEFA C qualified coach who is passionate about helping young players develop in a fun, positive and supportive environment.
Within the Foundation Phase, creating a love for football, building confidence and developing strong technical foundations are just as important as results. We are looking for a coach who can inspire young players, deliver engaging learning experiences and help every child enjoy their football while improving their skills and understanding of the game.
The Role
Working alongside our Lead Coach, you will:
- Help plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions
- Support the Lead Coach during Saturday morning fixtures
- Create a positive, safe and enjoyable learning environment
- Help develop players’ technical ability and understanding of the game
- Encourage creativity, confidence and decision-making
- Support the social and emotional development of young players
- Build positive relationships with players, parents and academy staff
- Follow the academy’s coaching philosophy and player-development programme
- Assist with matchday organisation and player management
Hours
The role involves:
- Monday evening training
- Saturday morning fixtures
- Approximately two hours on each day
- Additional coaching opportunities may become available
Essential Requirements
- UEFA C Licence
- Experience coaching children within grassroots, academy or development football
- Experience working with Foundation Phase players
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A passion for supporting the development of young players
- A professional, reliable and enthusiastic approach
- Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Safeguarding Children qualification
- Emergency First Aid in Football qualification or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
