Job Description

Leicestershire & Rutland County FA (LRCFA) is inviting applications for the position of Marketing & Communications Officer.

Salary: Starting from £26,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week (some evening and weekend work required)
Location: Holmes Park, Dog and Gun Lane, Whetstone, LE8 6FA (minimum of two days per week in the office, with flexible working available)

This full-time role will lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of LRCFA's integrated marketing and communications strategy, supporting organisational priorities and The FA's Grassroots Football Strategy.

The role will enhance the profile, reputation and visibility of Leicestershire & Rutland County FA through innovative marketing campaigns, digital communications and public relations activity. The successful candidate will drive audience growth, engagement and participation across football, while ensuring the County FA brand is consistently represented across all communications.

Working across multiple departments, the role will lead on website management, social media, email marketing, public relations, content creation and event promotion. The role will also support LRCFA's commercial objectives by maximising sponsorship value, commercial partnerships and revenue-generating opportunities through effective marketing activation.

About the Role:

  • Develop, deliver and evaluate the County FA's annual Marketing and Communications Plan
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns that increase participation, raise awareness and support organisational priorities
  • Manage the County FA website, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, accessible and SEO optimised
  • Plan, create and publish engaging content across social media platforms
  • Produce and distribute email marketing campaigns and newsletters using CRM and email marketing platforms
  • Act as the organisation's brand guardian, ensuring consistency across all marketing and communications activity
  • Lead internal communications and build positive relationships with local, regional and national media
  • Lead the marketing and communications for major County FA events, including Recognition Awards and County Cups
