What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking a highly organised, reliable, and professional First Team Kit Assistant to join our First Team Operations Department.
Working closely with the First Team Kit Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring all First Team kit, equipment, and operational requirements are delivered to the highest professional standards. This is a hands-on role supporting players and staff daily, requiring exceptional attention to detail, organisation, discretion, and flexibility.
From preparing training kit and supporting matchdays to managing stock and assisting with travel, you will be an important part of the day-to-day operation of the First Team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Kit & Equipment Operations
Prepare, organise, and distribute training, travel, and matchday kit for First Team players and staff.
Ensure all kit is clean, correctly prepared, and available on time for training sessions, fixtures, and travel.
Support laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, sorting, and storing kit.
Prepare and maintain dressing rooms, technical areas, and kit stations.
Support pre-match preparation and post-match clear down activities.
Prepare training equipment including balls, bibs, cones, mannequins, GPS vests, and session equipment.
Matchday & Travel Support
Pack, load, transport, unload, and organise kit and equipment for home and away fixtures.
Drive Club vehicles, including the kit van, to training sessions, home fixtures, away fixtures, tours, and training camps.
Support home and away matchday operations.
Assist with overnight stays, domestic travel, and other operational requirements when required.
Respond to the needs of First Team players, coaches, and staff during training and matchdays.
Stock Control & Administration
Monitor stock levels and carry out regular stock checks.
Report shortages, damage, and replenishment requirements.
Support inventory management and stock control processes.
Maintain accurate records where required.
Assist with seasonal stock allocation and pre-season preparations.
Kit Customisation & Presentation
Print and apply names, numbers, logos, badges, and competition branding to kit and training wear.
Ensure all kit complies with competition and Club requirements.
Maintain the highest presentation standards across all kit and equipment.
Operational Standards
Maintain kit rooms, boot rooms, storage facilities, laundry areas, and equipment spaces.
Ensure all working areas are safe, clean, organised, and professional at all times.
Build positive working relationships with coaching, medical, performance, operations, and grounds staff.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working within the First Team environment.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll have:
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to drive Club vehicles.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Strong attention to detail.

High levels of professionalism, reliability, and discretion.
Strong work ethic and flexibility.
Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Experience
Experience working in a kit, equipment, laundry, logistics, stores, sports operations, or similar service-focused environment.
Experience managing multiple operational tasks simultaneously.
Experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Experience maintaining stock, equipment, or inventory records.
Experience providing high standards of customer or stakeholder service.
Desirable
Experience working within professional football, elite sport, an academy, or a high-performance environment.
Knowledge of football matchday operations and dressing room standards.
Experience with stock control systems and ordering processes.
Experience supporting team travel, tours, or training camps.
Experience using heat press, embroidery, printing, or garment customisation equipment.
Qualification or training in sports operations, equipment management, manual handling, or health & safety.
