Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Reserve Team Manager to oversee and coordinate the reserve team operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of team management principles. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and success of our reserve team, ensuring seamless support for primary operations and fostering a positive team environment. The Reserve Team Manager will be responsible for planning, supervising, and motivating team members to achieve organisational objectives effectively. This is a voluntary position.
Duties
- Lead, organise, and supervise the activities of the reserve team to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to organisational standards.
- Develop and implement training programmes to enhance team members’ skills and knowledge relevant to their roles.
- Coordinate scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods or absence of primary team members.
- Monitor team performance through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback and recognising achievements.
- Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork, motivation, and professional growth.
- Liaise with senior management to communicate team needs, progress reports, and any operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organisational policies at all times.
- Assist in recruitment processes for new reserve team members as required.
- Organise team meetings to facilitate communication, share updates, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven experience in team management or supervisory roles within a similar organisational setting.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to liaise confidently with staff at all levels.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to the organisation’s operations is desirable.
- Previous experience in training or mentoring staff is advantageous.
- A proactive approach with problem-solving capabilities and adaptability in dynamic environments
