Academy Head Coach

About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and driven Academy Head Coach to help build a culture of excellence, accountability, and long-term player development across our club. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves developing players, collaborating with staff, and continuously pushing standards forward.

Player & Team Development

  • Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions aligned with our playing philosophy and style of play
  • Evaluate individual and team performance and translate insights into actionable development plans
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to create, implement, and update each player’s Individual Development Plan (IDP)
  • Collaborate across age groups to ensure consistent player progression throughout the academy

Performance Analysis & Game Preparation

  • Analyze team and opponent performance using video and data tools
  • Develop tactical approaches based on performance trends and identified opportunities
  • Present findings clearly to players and staff to enhance understanding and execution

 

Required Qualifications

  • USSF B License (or international equivalent)
  • 3+ years of coaching experience at U13 or higher in a high-performance environment (or equivalent playing experience)
  • Strong understanding of player development principles and modern coaching methodologies
  • Experience using performance analysis tools and presenting findings to teams/staff
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Eligibility to live and work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Sports Science, Psychology, Management, Technology)
  • Additional “+1” expertise such as sports science, athletic training, video analysis, goalkeeping specialization, or medical background
  • Bilingual abilities
  • Strong technical skills (Google Drive, Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote)
