Tampa Bay Sun FC is a professional women’s soccer club competing at the highest level of the USL Super League. Our mission is to develop a championship culture built on excellence, professionalism, and player development. This internship provides an opportunity to work directly within a professional soccer environment alongside the Head Coach and coaching staff.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, hardworking, and detail-oriented Coaching Intern who is looking to gain hands-on experience in professional soccer. This internship is designed for students who require college credit and are pursuing careers in coaching, sports performance, sport management, or related fields.
The intern will be immersed in the daily operations of a professional team and will have opportunities to observe, learn, and contribute in all aspects of coaching and player development.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily training session setup and breakdown.
- Support the coaching staff during training and match days.
- Assist with video analysis and opponent scouting.
- Help organize equipment and maintain training standards.
- Assist with individual player development projects.
- Prepare training materials and coaching resources.
- Participate in staff meetings
- Perform administrative duties that support the coaching staff.
- Complete additional projects assigned by the Head Coach.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship.
- Passion for soccer and a desire to pursue a career in coaching.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Previous coaching or playing experience
- Experience with video analysis software is a plus.
