Job Title: Primary Schools Manager

Duration of contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 37.5 per week

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Location: Loftus Road Stadium with regular visits to schools across West London

Reports to: Education Manager


Role Summary:

The Primary Schools Manager will lead the planning, coordination, delivery and continued development of the Trust's Primary Schools programme, with responsibility for managing the Premier League Primary Stars programme across partner schools.

The postholder will manage relationships with schools, coordinate programme staff, monitor quality and ensure the successful delivery of programme outcomes in line with Premier League Charitable Fund and Trust objectives.

Alongside managing Primary Stars, the role will support the wider development of the Trust's education offer, identifying opportunities to strengthen school partnerships and increase participation across primary school programmes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Programme Management

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the Premier League Primary Stars programme.

  • Coordinate the delivery of high-quality provision across all partner schools.

  • Manage programme timetables, staffing and resources.

  • Ensure programme delivery meets agreed targets, outcomes and funding requirements.

  • Monitor programme performance and implement improvements where required.

  • Manage project budgets responsibly and maximise value for money.

  • Produce reports and programme updates for internal and external stakeholders.

School Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Headteachers, PE Leads and school staff.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all schools involved within the programme.

  • Conduct regular review meetings with schools to evaluate impact and identify future opportunities.

  • Promote the wider education offer across the Trust, including teacher CPD, enrichment activities and additional school programmes.

  • Identify opportunities to grow school partnerships and increase participation.

Staff Management

  • Line manage Primary Stars Officers and casual coaching staff.

  • Coordinate staffing across all participating schools.

  • Support recruitment, induction and onboarding of new staff.

  • Conduct regular coaching observations, support visits and performance reviews.

  • Promote continuous professional development across the team.

Programme Delivery

  • Support and oversee the delivery of a broad range of education and school sport activities including:

  • High-quality PE lessons

  • Teacher mentoring and CPD

  • Physical activity interventions

  • Literacy, Numeracy and PSHE sessions

  • Social Action projects

  • Classroom-based interventions

  • Whole-school enrichment days

  • Assemblies

  • Football festivals and competitions

  • Stadium events

  • Taster sessions for prospective schools

Where required, personally deliver sessions to maintain programme quality and support operational delivery.

Monitoring, evaluation & compliance

  • Complete all monitoring and evaluation requirements in line with Premier League Charitable Fund and Trust guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate programme records using Trust systems, including VIEWS and Salesforce where required.

  • Produce registers, participation data and impact reports.

  • Monitor programme outcomes against agreed KPIs.

  • Ensure all delivery complies with safeguarding, health & safety and equality policies.

  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance across all programmes.

General Responsibilities

  • Support Trust events, festivals and holiday programmes when required.

  • Attend team meetings and CPD opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Education and Sports Participation departments.

  • Promote the Trust and Queens Park Rangers Football Club professionally at all times.

  • Comply with all Trust policies and procedures.

  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.

Personal Specification

Skills & Experience

  • Experience delivering PE, physical activity or sport within primary schools.

  • Experience coordinating or managing programmes across multiple schools.

  • Experience line managing or supporting coaching staff.

  • Experience building positive relationships with schools and external partners.

  • Experience monitoring programme quality and evaluating impact.

  • Experience working towards programme targets and KPIs.

  • Good understanding of the PE National Curriculum.

  • Awareness of Primary Stars or similar school-based education programmes.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

  • Understanding of the role sport can play in improving educational and social outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Degree or relevant education qualification.

  • Level 2 Sports Coaching Qualification (or above)

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • In date DBS,Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.
