Job Title: Head Football Coach

Location: Bolton (see full coaching schedule below)

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Head Football Coach delivering high-quality coaching sessions across multiple venues in Greater Manchester, with the chance to lead and inspire young players throughout their footballing journey.

Weekly Coaching Schedule (Evening Sessions)

Monday - Sharples High School, Bolton - 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Tuesday - Co-Op Academy Blackley, Manchester - 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Wednesday - Westleigh High School, Leigh - 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Thursday - St James High School, Bolton - 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Friday - Kingsway Park High School, Rochdale - 5:30pm - 8:00pm

Saturday - TBC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engaging coaching sessions for primary school-aged children across multiple venues. Football sessions follow the weekly schedule above, with additional coaching hours during school holidays at one of our holiday clubs.
  • Develop and implement structured football training programs, integrating skill-building exercises, drills, and match simulations.
  • Organise and oversee development courses and multi-sport camps aimed at nurturing talent and developing a deep passion for sports.
  • Manage administrative duties related to coaching programs, including scheduling, registrations, and maintaining effective communication with parents/guardians.
  • Support local player recruitment by proactively distributing marketing materials and building relationships with primary schools within your coaching area to promote our football programmes.

Requirements:

  • Valid FA qualification.
  • Experience in coaching primary school-aged children is advantageous.
  • Must possess or be willing to work towards FA First Aid and Safeguarding certifications.
  • Paediatric First Aid & Designated Safeguard Lead desirable. Full training will be provided.
  • Essential possession of a valid driving license.
  • DBS checked or willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
  • Commitment to player development and a genuine passion for football.
