1. Job Summary
Liverpool Homeless Football Club is a community-focused organisation based in Liverpool that uses football to support positive change for adults experiencing homelessness, trauma, addiction, mental health challenges, and social exclusion. We provide a safe, structured and inclusive environment where individuals can rebuild confidence, routine, and social connection through sport.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand (over 1,600 participants engaged this year), we are recruiting additional coaches to support delivery across Liverpool and Merseyside, including sessions at Powerleague Whittle Street and wider outreach locations.
2. Responsibilities
- Deliver and support football coaching sessions for adults (18+) in community and structured settings
- Support participants with wider wellbeing activities alongside football
- Assist with outreach delivery in hostels, care centres, and local pitches across Merseyside
- Contribute to Spirit of Merseyside tournaments and events
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants
- Work as part of a team to engage and support individuals with complex needs
- Travel to different delivery locations (all travel expenses covered)
3. Experience
- Passion for using sport to support positive social impact
- Experience in coaching, sport, youth/community work, or the charity/care sector (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to engage and support individuals with complex needs
- Suitable for newly qualified coaches, experienced practitioners, individuals seeking additional work, or retirees
- Coaching qualifications are beneficial; support will be provided for further training and development for the right candidates
Pay: £20.00 per hour
