Overview
Gray Girls FC is seeking enthusiastic, passionate, and inspiring female football coaches to join our growing coaching team. We deliver fun, high-quality football sessions for girls aged across schools, community venues, and local parks.
This is a casual coaching role with flexible working hours. Sessions vary depending on project delivery, development centres, and school/community bookings, meaning availability will differ week to week.
We are especially keen to support female coaches at all stages of their journey whether you are starting out or already experienced.
Pay Structure (based on qualification/experience):
- No qualification: Volunteer role
- FA Level 1: £15 per hour
- FA Level 2 (or equivalent): £20 per hour
Gray Girls FC is committed to developing coaches personally and professionally, and after 6 months working with the club, coaches will be supported with ongoing development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality football coaching sessions for girls
- Plan and adapt sessions appropriate to ability and age
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Promote enjoyment, participation, and confidence in football
- Manage groups effectively in school, community, and outdoor settings
- Work collaboratively with other coaches and staff
- Support the ethos and values of Gray Girls FC
- Ensure safeguarding and child welfare standards are upheld at all times
Essential Requirements
- Passion for working with girls in sport and football development
- Positive, enthusiastic, and encouraging coaching style
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Ability to engage and manage groups of children
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- Willingness to work flexibly across different venues and times
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Introduction to coaching (FA Level 1) Coaching Qualification (or equivalent)
- UEFA C Licence (FA Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or working towards)
- Previous experience coaching children or young people
- Experience in school, community, or grassroots football settings
- First Aid and Safeguarding Certificates
Additional Requirements
- Female applicants only (due to the nature of the programme and role focus)
- Commitment to ongoing development with Gray Girls FC
- Willingness to engage in CPD opportunities after 6 months with the club
Pay: £12.21-£20.00 per hour
