Job Description

Between The Posts is a football tactics and analysis platform with more than 53k followers on X/Twitter and a loyal subscriber base.

For nearly eight years, we have published tactical analysis, match reports and football writing covering the top leagues and major international tournaments from all over the world. Our focus is on intelligent football content, tactical insight and visually-supported analysis.

As we look ahead to the 2026 World Cup and the next stage of growth for the platform, we are looking for a Football Content & Social Media Lead to help us grow our audience and improve our content distribution across platforms.

The role

This is not a traditional social media manager role.

We are looking for someone who understands:

  • football tactics
  • football media
  • digital content
  • social media
  • audience growth

You will help Between The Posts expand its presence across X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, while staying true to the quality and identity that built the platform.

This role combines:

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve BtP’s social media presence across X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Turn football articles and tactical analysis into engaging social media content
  • Create and experiment with football content formats such as:
    • threads
    • graphics
    • short-form video
    • matchday content
    • tactical clips
    • social-first storytelling
  • Improve the speed and consistency of article promotion
  • Help grow website traffic, engagement and paid subscriptions
  • Analyse social media performance and audience engagement
  • Work closely with BtP writers and editors to identify strong football stories and tactical themes
  • Contribute ideas for website growth, branding and content strategy
  • Help build BtP into a larger football media platform ahead of and during the 2026 World Cup

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of football tactics and modern football culture
  • Experience with social media, digital content or football media
  • Understanding of platforms such as X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Ability to create engaging football content for different audiences and platforms
  • Creative mindset and willingness to experiment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Experience with video editing, graphic design or content creation tools is a plus
  • Experience in football journalism, football analysis or sports media is a plus
