Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic After School Football Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising and leading football activities for children after school hours, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development. This role provides an excellent opportunity to inspire young athletes while promoting physical activity and healthy competition within the community.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging football training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels
  • Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to ensure safe and effective training
  • Monitor players’ progress, offering constructive feedback to support their development
  • Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive behaviour among participants
  • Ensure the safety of all children during activities by adhering to health and safety guidelines
  • Communicate with parents or guardians regarding programme updates and player progress
  • Assist in setting up equipment and maintaining the organisation of training sessions and events

Skills

  • Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly football or similar team sports
  • Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate children and foster a supportive environment
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct young players and liaise with parents or guardians
  • Organisational skills to plan sessions, manage equipment, and oversee group activities efficiently
  • Ability to encourage teamwork, discipline, and respect among participants
  • Enthusiasm for working with children and promoting active lifestyles
  • Relevant coaching qualifications or willingness to obtain necessary certifications is desirable but not essential

Pay: £20.00-£28.00 per hour
