Part-time | £30 per hour

Dragon Academy is a growing football academy delivering structured weekly sessions to over 130 players across South Wales. We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Lead Coach to take responsibility for our Advanced Dragonsgroups in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

This role is ideal for a coach who enjoys working with players aged 8–13, can lead sessions confidently, and wants to be part of a professional, well-organised environment.

Session Details

• Location: Rhondda Sports Centre, Tyntyla (RCT)
• Days: Mondays
• Times:
• 5:00pm – 6:00pm
• 6:00pm – 7:00pm
• Total weekly hours: 2 hours
• Pay: £30 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured, engaging football sessions for Advanced Dragons players
• Lead sessions confidently and set the standard for behaviour, effort, and development
• Create a positive, supportive learning environment
• Work alongside assistant coaches where required
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and organisation
• Ensure sessions are safe, enjoyable, and development-focused

What We’re Looking For

• Experience coaching children in football or sport
• Ability to lead sessions independently
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Positive attitude and professional approach
• Passion for developing young players

Essential Requirements

• FA Level 1 / UEFA C
• Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
• Safeguarding certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable

• Experience working with players aged 8–13
• Experience leading group sessions
• Full UK driving licence
• UEFA B License
