Role Purpose

Own and deliver transport operations, ensuring smooth daily running of fleet activity, journey planning, and logistics across multiple disciplines.

Manage and optimise fleet resources, continually seeking innovative, cost‑effective, and industry‑leading solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.

Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, Operator Licence requirements, and all QHSE standards—consistently aiming to exceed industry expectations.

Build strong relationships with internal departments, drivers, suppliers, and external partners, ensuring collaborative delivery of transport objectives and service excellence.

Support wider operational teams, providing transport expertise and coordinating additional tasks such as route adjustments, vehicle availability, and resolving service issues.

 

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and deliver transport related operational projects to completion on time and within budget, ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are satisfied and expectations are exceeded wherever possible.

Ensure safe transport operations by identifying, reducing, and managing risks across all transport providers, shuttle services, traffic management partners, and event day subcontractors. This includes maintaining accurate safety documentation, ensuring compliance with stadium safety protocols, and supporting adherence to relevant transport and event related regulations.

Ensure full compliance with recognised transport and event operations policies and procedures, including those relating to crowd movement, vehicle access control, and matchday logistics.

Oversee the implementation of health and safety processes across all transport suppliers and contractors, ensuring safe working practices are consistently followed.

Prepare and present reports, operational plans, and key updates related to stadium transport strategy, event impacts, and project milestones to ensure proposals are approved, communicated, and effectively executed.

Provide daily coordination of transport contractors and operational teams, working closely with Facilities Management and Stadium Operations to ensure all transport services are properly supervised and monitored.

Direct, instruct, and supervise all transport related contractors, ensuring adherence to operational procedures, minimising disruption to stadium activities, and supporting smooth event day operations.

Qualifications / Training

  • NRSWA Qualification

 

Skills & Experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Demonstrable financial acumen, including experience with budget management.
  • Strong relationship building and networking skills.
  • Comprehensive and up to date understanding of transport regulations and industry best practice.
  • Strong knowledge of transport related Health & Safety legislation, including the application of risk assessments.
  • Proven experience developing, presenting, and delivering operational strategies, including transport plans, service proposals, or comprehensive transport arrangements for large scale or high profile events.
