They will support strong governance and accountability by constructively challenging the Senior Leadership and executive team, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, financial and FA Code of Governance and Safeguarding standards. They should also have an understanding of good governance principles, including board responsibilities, accountability, regulatory compliance and an awareness of organisational finance.
