About The Role   JOB PURPOSE The Senior Physiotherapist will be a qualified Physiotherapist registered with the CSP and HCPC and will be responsible for leading the clubs Medical Department in the development, organisation, co-ordination and implementation of all medical related matters to First Team players and department staff. This post is expected to optimise the player availability and enhance the medical support of Rotherham United First Team players through the provision of footballs best scientific and medical practice. Our Academy is currently looking for Physiotherapists to join their team on a casual basis to implement the treatment and rehabilitation of injuries programme for the Foundation Phase (u9-u11’s) and Youth Development Phase (u12-u16’s) in line with the Club’s overall strategy for developing elite players in line with the EPPP.   Hours of work are Monday to Friday evenings between 5:00 and 9:00pm and match cover at weekends.   The main roles & responsibilities for this role are to; Provide pitch-side first aid and acute injury management of Foundation and Youth Phase Academy players on match days and training. Complete emergency medical equipment checks prior to matches and report any issues to the Head of Sports Science and Medicine or Academy Operations Manager immediately.
