Tackle has been running Football Marathon Fundraising events for over 20 years, engaging over 7,500 players and raising over £3.5 million through a challenging yet accessible, 12-hour endurance football tournament. In 2027 we want to roll out the Football Marathon to 5 new cities in the UK. The post holder will lead the successful creation and delivery of a Tackle Football Marathon in either Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle or Nottingham, supported by the central Tackle Event Fundraising Team. You will utilise your own extensive local football playing networks to participate in the Football Marathon as well as develop and mobilise new groups of local supporters. Rather than an office-based role this requires networking and connecting with potential stakeholders within the community.
