Role Purpose
To support the mental health, wellbeing, and safety of Academy players in line with the Scottish FA Child Wellbeing and Protection Standards. The role promotes a positive, child-centred environment where young people feel respected, listened to, and supported both on and off the pitch.
Reports to: Head of Youth Academy and Child Wellbeing and Protection officer
Key Responsibilities
Wellbeing & Mental Health Support
· Provide a consistent, approachable point of contact for players needing emotional or pastoral support.
· Carry out informal wellbeing check-ins and identify early signs of distress, confidence issues, stress, or anxiety.
· Promote a safe, inclusive culture where players feel comfortable talking about mental health.
