Football Coach

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated early years and foundation phase football coaches to join our team at our academy in Wallington, Croydon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating and developing players of all skill levels. This role involves not only teaching the fundamentals of football but also fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programmes that enhance players' skills and understanding of football.
• Demonstrate a great deal of passion and enthusiasm in every session
• Contribute to the development of the academys training philosophy
• Attend inhouse coaching workshops to collaborate and align on training and operational methods
• Be able to encourage and inspire players to be creative
• Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress and expectations.

Skills

• Experience in sports coaching, particularly in football, with the ability to educate players effectively prefered but non essential
• Show a willingness to learn and improve as a football coach
• Excellent communication skills to convey strategies and feedback clearly.
• Ability to motivate and inspire players
• Strong organisational skills to manage training schedules, and player assessments.
• A good understanding of football rules, tactics, and techniques.
