Job Description
Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and ambitious First Team Goalkeeping Coach to join our football department.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a professional first-team environment, helping to develop and prepare our goalkeepers to perform at the highest possible level.
The position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the successful candidate's experience, availability and suitability for the role.
The Role
Reporting directly to the First Team Head Coach, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of all first-team goalkeeping sessions, ensuring our goalkeepers are prepared physically, technically, tactically and mentally for both training and matchdays.
The successful applicant will work closely with the first-team coaching staff and medical departments to support the continued development and performance of our goalkeepers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, position-specific goalkeeping training sessions.
- Prepare goalkeepers for all first-team fixtures.
- Provide detailed technical and tactical analysis to support goalkeeper development.
- Work collaboratively with the First Team Head Coach and coaching staff on team preparation.
- Monitor and review goalkeeper performances using video analysis and performance data.
- Support the progression of Academy goalkeepers into the first-team environment where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of player development and training programmes.
- Uphold the club's professional standards and values at all times.
Essential Criteria

UEFA Goalkeeping B Licence (or currently working towards).
- Previous experience coaching goalkeepers within a professional or elite football environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of modern goalkeeping techniques and tactical principles.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Ability to work weekends and travel as required.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience within the Scottish professional game.

Full UK driving licence.
