Steven Gerrard Academy provides a high quality experience for 16-19 year olds who are interested in pursuing further education and a career in football, such as coaching or other professions within the sports industry. We are proud of the fact that our academic achievements are above the national benchmark. The education programme runs alongside an outstanding football academy, led by UEFA licensed coaches with experience in top academies across the world.

Who We're Looking For
We’re looking for motivated people who want to gain experience in a professional environment. They will be organised, good at meeting deadlines and want to progress in sport. They will have a passion for analysis.
You will be required to:

Develop and maintain relationships with staff and players
Always try your best in all areas and demonstrate and passion for excellence and eye for detail.
Communicate effectively throughout placement

Essential Criteria
Desire/motivation to work in the football industry or sport science industry
Willingness to learn
Ability to meet deadlines
Desirable Criteria
Experience using analysis platforms, gps and database systems
Experience presenting in front of small groups
Experience using Google Suite
Level 1 - Introduction to Football Coaching
Responsibilities
Review match and training footage to identify key moments, player actions and team performance trends.
Create video clips to support individual player development and team reviews.
Present findings in a format that coaches and players can easily understand.
Assist with collecting, processing and reviewing GPS data from training sessions and matches.
Liaise with coaches to understand their analysis requirements and priorities
Provide relevant clips, statistics and reports to support coaching decisions.
Contribute to player feedback and development reviews under staff guidance.
