About Go Little Footballers

At Go Little Footballers, we’re all about fun, friendship and football!
Our sessions are designed for children aged 2-8 years, introducing them to the beautiful game in a pressure-free, encouraging environment that focuses on confidence, communication, teamwork and social development, all while having loads of fun!

We’re part of the Go Football Coaching family, dedicated to helping every child fall in love with football from the very first kick.

The Role

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Football Coach or Assistant Coach to join our growing team. You’ll be part of a positive, high-energy coaching programme that helps young players build skills, make friends and enjoy every moment on the pitch.

This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, has great communication skills, and wants to inspire the next generation of little footballers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver fun, engaging football sessions for children aged 3–7.
  • Create a supportive environment where every child feels valued and confident.
  • Organise simple, games, and team activities that build fundamental skills.
  • Provide encouragement to help children learn and grow.
  • Foster teamwork, social interaction, and sportsmanship.
  • Communicate positively with parents, children, and fellow coaches.
  • Ensure all sessions meet health, safety, and safeguarding standards.
  • Support with events, taster sessions, and community football days.

Requirements

  • A passion for working with children and making football fun and inclusive.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in football coaching or teaching is highly desirable (but not essential – training provided).
  • Knowledge of basic football, child development, and safety practices.
  • Safeguarding training (can be completed during onboarding).
  • Enhanced DBS check required (support provided if needed).
  • A positive, energetic personality and a genuine enthusiasm for youth sport!
