About the Opportunity
Bishop’s Stortford FC Academy is looking for an ambitious Sports Science, Performance Analysis or Strength & Conditioning student/recent graduate who wants to gain genuine hands-on experience within a football academy environment.
This opportunity is ideal for someone currently studying or recently graduated in Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Performance, Performance Analysis, Football Coaching or a closely related degree.
You’ll work alongside Academy coaches and players, helping us develop our approach to player performance, physical development, testing, conditioning and match analysis.
Rather than simply observing, we want someone who is keen to get involved, bring ideas and gradually take ownership of areas of performance support as their experience develops.

Who We’re Looking For
This opportunity would particularly suit a current university student or recent graduate looking to develop a career within professional football, sports science or high-performance sport.
You should be:
Previous experience within football is beneficial but not essential.
Experience with Veo, Hudl, GPS/performance monitoring technology, testing equipment or analysis software would be advantageous, but we’re equally interested in applicants looking for their first opportunity to apply what they’ve learned at university within a real football environment.

Availability
The role can be flexible around university, employment and other commitments.
We’re particularly interested in someone who can commit to one or more regular Academy sessions each week during the academic year.
Some performance analysis work can potentially be completed remotely, while Sports Science and Strength & Conditioning opportunities will primarily take place alongside Academy training and fixtures in Bishop’s Stortford.
