Job Summary

Shots in the Community Foundation are the affiliated club community organisation (CCO) of Aldershot Town Football Club (registered charity: 1172414). Aldershot Town Football Club are an established professional football club competing in the Enterprise National League.

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated freelance football coach to join the Shots Foundation team. In the role, you will assist us in our schools programme by delivering after-school clubs and holiday camps in local schools. You may also be asked to coach in other coaching projects such as ‘Little Shots’, FA Wildcats, and FA Comets.

In your role you will be expected to always represent both the Shots Foundation and Aldershot Town Football Club professionally and respectfully. You will report to the Head of Foundation.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality football coaching sessions for children in primary schools aged 4-11, ensuring they are appropriate, safe, and engaging.
  • Teach fundamental football skills, including passing, shooting, dribbling, and defending, to players at all levels of experience and ability.
  • Implement structured training drills and exercises that promote individual player development and team cohesion.
  • Identify and nurture talented players, providing them with additional challenges and opportunities for advancement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes fair play, respect, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
  • Maintain a safe environment for your children.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of Introduction to Coaching Football (or equivalent) qualification, UEFA C is desirable.
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS Check or can obtain one (Essential).
  • Previous experience coaching children in a primary school environment.
  • Strong knowledge of football coaching principles, techniques, and strategies.
  • Passion for football and a genuine interest in the development and well-being of players.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Clear understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and engage with children and adults.

Job Types: Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
