THE OPPORTUNITY

Mount Hamilton United Soccer Club is recruiting Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches for its U14 to U18 Boys and Girls Imodel and
District Competitive teams for the 2027 season. These positions support players who want a structured, challenging, and
development-focused competitive soccer experience within the club pathway.
We are seeking dependable coaches who can combine sound technical instruction with strong leadership, clear communication, and
consistent team organization. Candidates may be experienced competitive coaches or developing coaches ready to grow through
mentorship and practical responsibility within a professional club environment.


ABOUT MOUNT HAMILTON UNITED SOCCER CLUB

Mount Hamilton United Soccer Club provides an integrated player pathway from grassroots and Academy programming through
District, Imodel, OPDL, and senior competitive soccer. Our District program provides meaningful competition, structured training,
qualified coaching, and opportunities for players and coaches to progress within the broader club system.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions aligned with the MHUSC technical curriculum, team objectives, and the
developmental needs of U14 to U18 players.
• Prepare and manage league matches, exhibitions, tournaments, and approved team events with a development-first and professional approach.
• Create a safe, inclusive, disciplined, and positive team environment that supports accountability, enjoyment, confidence, and individual growth.
• Provide clear technical and tactical feedback and contribute to player evaluations, development conversations, selection decisions, and pathway
recommendations.
• Manage playing opportunities, positions, and substitutions in accordance with club standards, competition rules, and the long-term development
of the player.
• Communicate professionally with players, parents, assistant coaches, technical staff, and club operations personnel using approved
communication channels.
• Maintain accurate attendance, availability, roster, session-planning, game-sheet, equipment, tournament, and other assigned administrative
records.
• Attend coach-development meetings, technical workshops, team meetings, and club events as assigned, and apply feedback from technical
leadership.
• Follow all MHUSC, Hamilton Soccer, Ontario Soccer, Canada Soccer, league, facility, safeguarding, and Safe Sport requirements.

 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Role placement will reflect each candidate's coaching experience, qualifications, availability, leadership readiness, and fit with the
assigned age group. Previous competitive head-coaching experience is preferred for Head Coach assignments but is not required
for every Assistant Coach opportunity.

• Sound technical understanding, emotional control, positive sideline behaviour, and the ability to make player-centred decisions.
• A willingness to learn, receive feedback, follow the club methodology, and participate in ongoing coach development.
• Regular evening and weekend availability throughout the assigned season, including league travel and approved tournaments.
• Reliable transportation to training, match, and event locations in Hamilton and surrounding communities.
