Football Content & Social Media Executive (Part-Time)

We are looking for a creative, driven and football-minded Football Content & Social Media Executive to help grow the Midas brand and support the digital presence of our clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take their first step into the football industry. Whether your experience has been gained through a football club internship, university placement, fan media channel, personal content platform or voluntary role within football, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

Location: Primarily remote, with attendance at occasional in-person meetings in Farnham, Surrey (typically around once per month).

Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week.

Salary: £25,400 per annum (full-time equivalent), pro-rata for part-time hours.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who lives and breathes football, social media and digital content.

You will be responsible for supporting and growing Midas Sports Management's social media presence whilst helping create engaging content for both the agency and our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Plan, create and publish engaging content across Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
  • Create video, photo and graphic content for social media channels.
  • Support player announcements, transfers, contract signings, sponsorship campaigns and media appearances.
  • Develop content ideas that increase engagement, reach and audience growth.
  • Maintain content calendars and ensure consistent posting.
  • Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to create relevant football-focused content.
  • Track performance and provide basic reporting on content effectiveness.
  • Assist with community management and audience engagement.

Website & Digital Presence

  • Assist with updating the Midas Sports Management website.
  • Publish news stories, client updates and company announcements.
  • Support the creation of blogs, interviews and other digital content.

Commercial Support

  • Support the promotion of agency initiatives, events and partnerships.
  • Assist with commercial campaigns and sponsorship activations.
  • Identify opportunities to increase audience growth and brand awareness.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Passionate about football and follows the professional game closely.
  • Demonstrable experience creating content for social media platforms through employment, internships, university projects, fan media channels, personal content platforms or voluntary roles.
  • Proven ability to create engaging short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of current social media trends, platform algorithms and football culture.
  • Strong working knowledge of content creation and editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar platforms.
  • Able to independently create video, graphic and written content to a professional standard.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
  • Eager to develop a long-term career within the football industry.

Due to the nature of professional football, some evening and weekend working will be required. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly around key football events, fixtures and client activity. As a part-time role, flexibility will be offered around how and when the contracted hours are worked, subject to business needs.
