About the Role
It is a new era for HB Køge Women, and following a historic league and cup double we are seeking a Physiotherapist. As a key member of our team, you will take the lead on prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries among the club’s players. This role covers both match-day and day-to-day clinical care across training, home and away fixtures, and pre-season/off-season periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose and treat player injuries in cooperation with the club doctor and wider medical team.
  • Design, implement and monitor individualised rehabilitation programmes, in line with return-to-play protocols and current best practice.
  • Provide pitch-side and match-day medical coverage for home and away fixtures, including emergency first aid and trauma response.
  • Carry out pre-training and pre-match screening, strapping/taping and injury-prevention work with players.
  • Work closely with the strength & conditioning staff and coaching team to manage player workload and reduce injury risk.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential and GDPR-compliant medical and treatment records for all players.
  • Support pre-season medical screening and fitness testing.
  • Travel with the first team and/or relevant squads to away fixtures and training camps as required.
  • Liaise with external specialists (surgeons, radiologists, consultants) where required for diagnosis or treatment.
  • Ensure compliance with DBU, UEFA/FIFA and national anti-doping regulations in all treatment provided.
  • Be available for emergency contact outside normal working hours in relation to player injuries, as needed.
  • Contribute to the club's ongoing development of medical and performance protocols.

Practical Information:
This is a full-time position with working hours that vary according to the training and match calendar, including regular evening, weekend and travel commitments consistent with the demands of professional football. The role is based at the club's training facility and stadium in Køge, Denmark.
