At Little Kickers, we run football classes for pre-school kids aged 18 months to their 8th birthday. Our mission is to provide a fun, positive introduction to sport in a friendly, non-competitive environment.
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Lead Sports Coach to join our team at Little Kickers in the UK. This role is crucial in helping young children learn the fundamentals of football while fostering their love for sport through play. You will contribute significantly to our mission of making sports enjoyable and accessible for all children.
Working hours as follows:
Saturday 8am - 1pm
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging football sessions tailored for preschool children.
- Foster a fun and inclusive environment that encourages participation.
- Teach fundamental football skills while promoting teamwork and cooperation.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during sessions.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress.
- Adapt coaching methods to suit varying age groups and skill levels.
- Maintain a positive attitude that aligns with our motto 'Play not Push'.
- Collaborate with other coaches to enhance program delivery.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly with young children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a fun and engaging learning environment.
- Knowledge of child development principles related to physical activity.
- First Aid certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Passion for sports and education, with a focus on making learning enjoyable.

- Do you have a driving licence and transport? If not, how do you reliably plan to travel to classes?
- Are you able to demonstrate confidence when talking to parents & children? Are you able to show enthusiasm, energy and a passion for working with children in sport?
- Can you commit to working 5 hours per week on Saturday as scheduled, between 8am and 1pm for a minimum of 12 months?
Experience:
- coaching or working with under 8's: 1 year (preferred)
