About the Role
Hampton & Richmond Borough FC are seeking a committed Lead First Team Physiotherapist to oversee the medical provision for our First Team competing in the National League South.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a competitive non-league football environment, working closely with coaching staff and players to deliver high-quality injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and matchday medical support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the club's medical provision, ensuring players receive professional care to maximise availability and performance throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead and manage all aspects of First Team medical care.
-Provide pitch-side medical cover at training sessions and competitive fixtures.
-Assess, diagnose and treat injuries sustained during training and matches.
-Design and implement individual rehabilitation programmes.
-Deliver injury prevention strategies and player monitoring.
-Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes.
-Liaise with coaching staff regarding player availability and return-to-play decisions.
-Ensure compliance with FA and league medical standards and best practices.
-Manage medical equipment and supplies.
Essential Qualifications
-BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy (HCPC Registered) or Sports Therapy.
-Valid pitch-side emergency aid qualification, including one of the following:
-FA ATMMiF (Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football)
-ITMMiF (Immediate Trauma Medical Management in Football)
Experience & Skills
-Previous experience within football or an elite sporting environment is required.
-Strong injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
-Organised, reliable and professional approach to athlete care.
