Foundation 92 is an independent registered charity and the official charitable partner of Salford City Football Club. Using the universal hook of Football, Foundation 92 works to proactively engage with a wide and diverse cohort of residents across the city of Salford and the Greater Manchester communities, who otherwise may face significant disadvantage, disengagement, and isolation, through no fault of their own.

Role Overview

Foundation 92 are seeking a part-time goalkeeper coach who will lead on the goal-keeping element of the Emerging Talent Centre, as well as working across other goal-keeper specific programmes, including working both within educational and community settings.

Key responsibilities

● Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate goalkeeper coaching sessions.

● Support the technical, tactical, physical and psychological development of goalkeepers.

● Adapt sessions to meet the needs of players at different stages of development within the ETC and other programmes.

● Provide individual development plans and track player progression.

● Design and implement structured, engaging training sessions for young people of all abilities in both a community and educational setting.

● Ensure all sessions are safe, inclusive and aligned with safeguarding standards.

● Assist in identifying and assessing goalkeeping talent within ETC and outreach programmes.

● Work closely with lead coaches and other staff to ensure a consistent approach.

● Act as a role model, maintaining high standards of professional conduct and behaviour.

● Contribute to the delivery of additional goalkeeper-specific programmes and events.

● Support wider organisational initiatives, including community engagement.

All post holders will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS clearance prior to the commencement of employment.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have completed the FA National Goalkeeping Course.

Pay: £12.50-£15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Salford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
