We are seeking a UEFA A Licensed Coach to play a key role in the continued development and success of Northumberland Heath Football Club.

This is a senior football position responsible for delivering high-performance coaching, supporting first-team objectives, and helping build a professional, winning culture across the club.

The successful candidate will bring standards, structure, and leadership both on and off the pitch.

Key Responsibilities

1. First Team Coaching & Performance

  • Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions aligned with the club’s playing philosophy
  • Support match preparation including analysis, tactical planning, and opposition review
  • Work closely with the Manager on team selection, structure, and in-game decisions
  • Drive standards, intensity, and accountability within the squad

2. Player Development

  • Identify and develop players to reach their full potential
  • Deliver individual development plans (IDPs) where appropriate
  • Support transition of players from development/youth into senior football

3. Club Philosophy & Identity

  • Help define and implement a clear playing identity across the club
  • Ensure consistency in coaching methods and expectations
  • Uphold and reinforce the club’s values on professionalism and behaviour

4. Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to match analysis (pre & post-game)
  • Use video and data (where available) to improve performance
  • Continuously review training methods and outcomes

5. Wider Club Contribution

  • Support club initiatives including:
  • Recruitment & scouting
  • Community engagement when required
  • Mentoring of other coaches within the club

Key Requirements

Essential:

  • UEFA A Licence (or working towards)
  • Proven experience coaching at senior or high-level youth football
  • Strong understanding of tactical principles and modern coaching methods
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to command respect in a dressing room
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Experience within non-league or semi-professional football
  • Background in analysis tools (Hudl, Veo, etc.)
  • Experience developing players for progression into higher levels

Role Details

  • Position Type: Part-time / Matchday + Training (flexible based on candidate)
  • Location: Christopher Russell Stadium
  • Reporting To: First Team Manager / Club Chairman
  • Remuneration: Competitive (based on experience and role scope)

Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
