Sportibees/Footibees Sports Coach Job Description

Job summary: To deliver PE & Extra-curricular activities in Primary schools in Wirral & Cheshire West. To coach and deliver Footibees sessions at a venue in Wirral on Saturday mornings between 9am-12pm. We may ask if you want additional hours Monday-Friday delivering nursery & pre-school PE sessions as well as holiday clubs during half terms.

To obtain a high standard of sports coaching within the framework of the companies’ policies and procedures.

Line manager: Eamon Buhalfaia.

Working relationships: Schools, staff, children and their parents/carers.

Management and staff.

Childcare and play related organisations, schools and local Education Authority.

Area: Nurseries, pre-schools, schools and venues within Wirral & Cheshire West.

Salary: £12.80-15 per hour.

Hours: Part time - Monday - Saturday.

Main duties include:

  • Delivery of PE & Extra-curricular clubs.
  • Professional working relationships with teachers and school staff.
  • Delivery and obtain high quality tots football sessions for children added 18 months – 5 years.
  • Administering first aid when necessary.
  • Providing good communication with all members of Footibees, parents, carers and teachers on a day to day basis to ensure all needs of each individual child are catered for.
  • To set up and tidy away all session related equipment and apparatus at the beginning and end of every day.
  • To follow Footibees and each individual schools/nurseries policies and procedures.
  • Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
  • Keeping the work environment safe and secure.
  • Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
  • To report any relevant information to your Line Manager.
  • To keep up to date registers of all children attending each tots football session as well as children attending before and after school sports clubs.

Essential Qualities:

  • Experience of working with children.
  • Understanding the varied needs of individual children.
  • Provide and facilitate safe and creative sports lessons.
  • Understanding equal opportunities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Clear DBS certificate.
  • Able to work as part of a team and drive the business forward.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.80-£15.00 per hour
