Huddersfield Town Women’s FC academy teams feed directly into the women’s senior set up, providing a pathway for talented local players to progress to the first team. This means that all young female footballers in the area have an opportunity to represent the first team by progressing through the junior ranks.
Through operating a development pathway for our younger players, this provides professional coaching in a player centred environment, created to develop future first team players.
HTWFC Girls have teams ranging from under 10’s providing opportunities for girls of all ages to play football and receive high quality coaching from a young age, giving them the best possible opportunity of being successful.
The vision of the club is to be able to recruit, nurture and develop its own players in line with the club’s playing philosophy, as well as developing the players as individuals off the pitch. Through this approach, it will enable the players to be given the best possible opportunity to progress to the first team, as well as providing the first team with players that understand the club’s philosophy and culture.
