Legia Warsaw

Legia Warsaw is the most successful club in Poland with 16 championship titles, 20 Polish Cup trophies and is a leader of the Ekstraklasa all time table. As the most popular and recognizable club in the central region Europe, its social media are followed by nearly 2 million fans. Legia was founded in 1916 by the legionaries of Marshal Józef PiƂsudski on the Eastern Front of World War I. Legia stadium is located in the city center with capacity of 31 thousand seats. As the only Polish club, Legia played two times in the UEFA Champions League group stage - in 1995/1996 and 2016/17 season. The legionnaires' greatest successes in the international arena are the 1969/1970 European semi-final, the 1990/1991 Cup winners semi-final and the 1995/1996 UEFA Champions League quarter-final. In the last year club opened Legia Training Center – the most modern football training and R&D facility in Poland and this part of Europe.
